ABL’s ‘Promise for the Planet’ – Earth Day 2018

This Saturday 24^th March is Earth Day 2018 and ABL are joining people and organisations around the world in making a ‘Promise for the Planet’.

Here at ABL we are committed to reducing our environmental impact, and this is why we are one of the few suppliers of our type in the UK to offer products under the latest WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) guidelines.   We are always looking for ways to become more environmentally friendly, which is why we are proud to announce our Earth Day pledges:

Promise for the Planet – Increase Recycling

ABL run a low-waste operation and we have a policy of reducing and reusing waste wherever possible.  However, as part of our Earth Day pledge we are pleased to announce that from April 2018 we are introducing a recycling scheme that will handle all of our recyclable waste, not just paper and card!

Promise for the Planet – Greener Suppliers

In addition to the introduction of an expanded recycling scheme, we have pledged to conduct a review of our suppliers and ensure that environmental credentials are part of our decision process.  As part of this review, ABL are committed to finding suppliers that can support us in reducing our environmental impact and that share our values.  Every new contract from April 2018 will therefore be negotiated with this pledge in mind.
